I was in the city centre and I realised that the UTOPIA preformance was show at 10pm it wasnt rainning so I decided to go down.

I have to say I was glad I did, it was suprisingly impressive, hats of to who ever commissioned this preformance. Lighting and sound were great, the dystroyers were brill as usual.

Can’t wait to see the video for this preformance as it was recorded via cranes/jibs/static and free hand camcorders, show look amazing the night was ideal for a shoot.

I like this show so much I took my friends to the last preformance to the last show the following day.

Was on the VIP guest list, Chase & Status manager hooked us up with access all areas etc

The line up was crazy, Chase and Status, Annie Mac, Fatboy Slim, Shy FX and Calvin Harris just to name a few!

The music was heavy, do loved a bit of Dub Step and no expensive spared when it came to the sound systems! Didn’t stay for FatBoy Slim not worth the hype!

Midlands Art Centre (MAC) Grand Opening 2010

Today I went to the grand opening of the new building for the Midlands Art Centre. I have to say hats off to the architects that changed the face of this dated poorly managed building.

It is now one of the most well thought-out spaces I’ve seen to date, the architects had little to work with and a fairly low budget of £14 Million compared to the £140 Million require to build the public in west brom, yet they managed to pull off a work of genius in terms of public space design and quality of finishes.

The building was packed with guests as the open day had a variety of free workshops and taster classes available. All the space in the building were open for the public to view at their leisure, this was fascinating as we got to see parts of the mac that have been hidden from public eyes since the late 60’s.

On the whole this open day was an amazing success and sets a bench mark for anything similar within the west midlands.

The Final Election Debate took place today at Birmingham University so I decided to go down and ask the opinions of local students. The security was tight, we were moved on a number of times by the police but we managed to get into the main square where we were able to ask a few questions to a varied student group.

Date:29 April 2010 Location: Birmingham University

Final Televised Pre-Election Debate

Sadiq Miah questions the students at Birmingham University on what they would like to ask the candidates for the 2010 Elections. This election will go down in the history book as the outcome has the ability to change the face of British politic forever!

Thank you to all participants in this video and apologies for weird background music.

Expose Fashion Show – Personal Charity Project

Today was the day of ‘EXPOSE’ the global fashion show I help organise for charity!

I the rehearsals were a little intense the night before, and I didn’t get a chance to test the visuals as we didn’t have the necessary equipment. So on the night of the show I managed to get into the Audio/Visual booth for the first test run and we came into a few problems!

The disc was a fail, I needed a copy rushed to me within 1hr as the show was about to begin and would of been a catastophy if I hadn’t got it in time!

The night was perfect, the even ran smoothly and we managed to raise just under £1,000 for charity to be used to create heath and sanitation facilities in the Kiberian slums in Kenya.
